Investigate problems with virtual files under Windows 7

Virtual / cached files under Windows 7 seem to cause problems when updates are installed. Investigate whether the installer or the updates can be adjusted to either flush these cached files or take them into account so that problems do not occur. Original report below:

Definitely there is a problem with that weird virtual files e.g. in "C:\Documents and Settings\Besitzer\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\ETSI\T3D" where files are stored and kept and then they appear e.g. in "C:\Program Files\ETSI\T3D" and it is hard to get rid of them as you don't even see them in the windows explorer ...

This seems to be a common issue with application updates. The cause seems to be poor hacks for “improved” (or more accurately “improvised") security on Microsoft’s part. Since the test user is an administrator, that sort of thing does not happen on the test setup.
