5	Problems with windows launchers under windows 7	Common	1.0	v1.0.x Series	defect	phdmakk	accepted	2010-07-06T16:08:55+02:00	2010-07-06T16:09:00+02:00	Due to undocumented changes in the way windows handles its batch files, it may become impossible to run the tools in some cases, largely depending on the installation paths.	phdmakk
10	Investigate parsing time regressions	T3Q	1.0	v1.0.x Series	defect	phdmakk	new	2011-05-03T16:19:46+02:00	2011-05-03T16:19:46+02:00	"Investigate parsing time regressions encountered with:
{{{
ETSI ipv6/mobility/ETSI TS 102 596 - v1.2.0 (2008-04)/IPv6 ATS mob/ttcn3/EtsiAtAtsIpv6/AtsMobility
}}}

and possibly others (see report from F. Philipp).

The parsing time for IPv6 has been known to be rather long due to some of the constructs used and the nature of the TTCN-3 syntax in general. Nevertheless, significant improvements have been achieved in the past, reducing the parsing time to 2-3 minutes in such cases (modules of sizes >15KLOC). However, parser updates to include support for recent versions of the standard appear to have introduced regression in regard to the parsing times. Investigate these and see if they can be fixed easily or if new issues need to be filled. This could potentially affect other test suites as well."	phdmakk
49	Investigate problems with virtual files under Windows 7	Common	1.0	v1.0.x Series	defect new	2014-02-13T10:31:05+01:00	2014-02-13T11:14:04+01:00	"Virtual / cached files under Windows 7 seem to cause problems when updates are installed. Investigate whether the installer or the updates can be adjusted to either flush these cached files or take them into account so that problems do not occur. Original report below:

> Definitely there is a problem with that weird virtual files e.g. in `""C:\Documents and Settings\Besitzer\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\ETSI\T3D""` where files are stored and kept and then they appear e.g. in `""C:\Program Files\ETSI\T3D""` and it is hard to get rid of them as you don't even see them in the windows explorer ..."	phdmakk
50	Revise memory settings	Common	1.0	v1.0.x Series	defect new	2014-02-13T10:35:29+01:00	2014-02-13T11:14:20+01:00	"The memory settings may be problematic on certain configurations where memory is limited. Revise and reduce the initial memory demands. Original report below:

>The problem with T3D was the memory setting: I've removed ""-Xss128m"" to get it running.
>Please note, that the evaluation of the memory size in the batch files never worked well (it stops too early i.e. I've got not enough memory - only `""-Xmx384m""` for T3Q);
>I use `""-Xmx768m""` for both T3Q and T3D now (i.e. for both I don't have `""-Xss128m""` anymore; see above).
>As a consequence a always need to copy around the batch files as even as admin windows does not let me modify the batch files in in the ""programs"" folder

52	Check nesting depth of parameters	T3Q	1.0	v1.0.x Series	new feature new	2015-07-20T14:29:01+02:00	2015-07-20T14:30:35+02:00	"We would need means to configure T3Q to report when the depth of nested function/template calls is above a given limit which affects readability, maintainability and the performance of T3Q (estimated impact {{{10*4^Nesting_Depth}}}).

In addition we would need some reporting for inline templates too, but for this we would also need some criteria regarding complexitiy of allowed inline templates as e.g. calls like ""f_Myfunction({v_Element1, v_Element2})"" may be acceptable."	phdmakk
1	Transfer open tickets from legacy database	Organizational	1.0	v1.0.x Series	task	phdmakk	accepted	2010-06-04T15:15:07+02:00	2010-06-04T15:18:30+02:00	Open tickets, as well as recently closed tickets need to be transferred from the legacy database.	phdmakk
51	Set up a test environment to test against problems with virtual store under Windows 7	Organizational	1.0	v1.0.x Series	task new	2014-02-13T10:56:40+01:00	2014-02-13T11:13:04+01:00	"There seems to be a common issue with application updates. The cause seems to be poor hacks for “improved” (or more accurately “improvised"") security on Microsoft’s part to prevent users and programs from writing in Program Files. Theoretically, it shouldn’t happen as t3q/t3d are not designed or required to write anything there, but under some circumstances that may somehow still happen nonetheless..

Since the test user is an administrator, that sort of thing does not happen on the test setup so far.

48	Add library version and availability checking	Common	1.0	v1.0.x Series	enhancement new	2014-02-12T14:49:19+01:00	2014-02-12T14:49:19+01:00	In certain circumstances, some of the libraries may not be referenced correctly after installation. Consider adding a mechanism that checks that all required libraries are in fact correctly referenced and available.	phdmakk
